CCS works at the state level to advance legislation to protect animals used in research and support human-relevant testing methodologies. We advocate for laws that ban the sale of cosmetics tested on animals, increase oversight for research and testing facilities, require additional protections for animals used in research, and support human-relevant testing methods. The CCS policy team works closely with other organizations with similar goals to ensure states are doing what they can to improve the health and well-being of humans, animals, and the planet.

Many of these bills have provisions that overlap between these categories.
