Pamela D. Frasch

Pamela Frasch is Professor of Law, Associate Dean, and the Brooks McCormick, Jr. Scholar of Animal Law & Policy at Lewis & Clark Law School. In 2008, Pamela founded the Center for Animal Law Studies at Lewis & Clark and has been teaching survey and advanced animal law courses for over 20 years. Pamela is co-author of Animal Law, Cases and Materials (Carolina Academic Press, 6th Edition 2019), Animal Law in a Nutshell (Thomson West, 2nd Edition 2016), many articles and book chapters on a broad array of animal law topics.

Previously, Pamela served as General Counsel for the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF). In 1996, Pamela created the ALDF Criminal Justice Program which assists law enforcement and animal advocates in investigating and prosecuting animal abuse and neglect cases nationwide. She is the inaugural recipient of the American Association of Law School’s Award: “Excellence in Animal Law: Scholarship-Teaching-Service.”
